Community Support

We so appreciate the commitment of community members, businesses and area organizations to support our mission of  public awareness and involvement in nature through education, conservation and eco-tourism.

Matagorda County Birding Nature Center operates on revenues consisting of entrance fees, event fees, memberships, fundraisers, grants and donations.  The 501(c)(3) is managed predominantly with volunteers and a working board of directors.

Please consider partnering with us through an annual membership.

KIOSK ATTENDANTS    The Kiosk is manned 100% by volunteers. We have several time slots available for those preferring indoor, air conditioned positions.

SPEAKERS FOR NATURE SEMINARS     If you have an area of expertise in a particular Nature Field , whether self-taught or PhD and you are willing to share your time- it can be once a year, twice a year or even monthly, we need you!

Contact us at 979-245-3336 or Email for more information on volunteer opportunities.

AMAZON SMILE     There are many ways to donate and support the mission of MCBNC–some that are truly painless. If you purchase products or books on Amazon, then jump on over to their smile site, search for MCNBC and choose our organization and then every time you buy something from the Amazon website we get a small donation.

DONATE    Whenever you like, feel free to use our online DONATE button or mail us a donation (tax-deductible) of any amount to:  MCBNC  PO Box 2212  Bay City, TX 77404-2212

CABINS  Plans are being made on two cabins that will be built inside grain bin #5.  We have eight grain bins that were built by John Woolsey that are now being used for maintenance and storage.

We will be encouraging ecotourism in our county and look forward to hosting friends and family with this project. To support this project simply note ‘CABINS’ on your donation form or check.

Living Legacy

LIVING LEGACY     Wills or living trusts give people who partner with our mission the ability to donate to projects through estate planning. Contact Eva Malina to learn more about leaving a living legacy to MCBNC.  Email
